Dream Keys Ableton Live Pack
DREAM KEYS is a collection of 50 Ableton Live Instrument Racks designed for mellow, chilled out, bedtime, lullaby type sounds. These instruments really shine on tracks that need something low key and mellow or music that requires a dreamy, fantasy feeling. Each sound was sampled from hardware synthesizers and built into custom a Ableton Live Instrument Rack. DREAM KEYS is the perfect collection of sounds for any genre that calls for a dreamy, laid back vibe.

The Sound Sources of DREAM KEYS...
In order to create DREAM KEYS, I turned to a few of my favorite synths for developing dreamy sounds.
First up, and most prominent in the collection is the Prophet 6. The Prophet is an all analog, polyphonic synthesizer with built-in digital effects. I found the chorus, delays, and reverbs especially helpful for designing the sounds I sampled for DREAM KEYS.
The next biggest contributor to DREAM KEYS was the Korg Volca FM. I chose the Volca FM because it can load some classic DX7 digital keys sounds. The Volca FM really shines for its electric keys and metallic chimes style sounds, which can be heard in many of the sounds in DREAM KEYS.
Finally, is my trusty Moog Concertmate MG-1. I knew the raw sound of this vintage analog synth's oscillators would work well for the collection. You can really hear the living electronics inside this machine. Coupled with Ableton Live's chorus, reverb, and delay, the sounds from this synth will have you feeling like you are curled up in your favorite blanket, drifting off into the dream world.
Building the Instrument Racks...
Each sound was sampled five times across a number of octaves, in order to preserve the character and prevent sound degradation from too much time stretching. The Macros were designed to give you the ability to customize each sound with just the right amount of tone and effects.
In order to prevent us from thinking too technically about the controls and to encourage a more listen-with-your-ears approach to sound design, the Macro Controls are abstractly named after different aspects of sleeping and dreaming. You can see which parameters belong to which effects by paying attention to the color-coding. For example the Blue of REM corresponds to the Blue Hi Pass Filter controls.
