Mode Audio sent me some samples from their Smoke Signals Trip Hop sample pack. They are beautifully recorded loops of acoustic drummers performing beats in the Trip Hop genre. There are elements of rap, jazz, and soul drumming in each loop, all in the style popularized by groups like Portishead, Massive Attack, and DJ Shadow.
The resulting samples and Ableton Live Drum Racks are full of groove and power, ready for any genre of music!
